Tiny Tots Dance (TTD) is committed to process any personal information it holds only in ways that are fair, transparent and meet its legal obligations, in other words, in accordance with the Data Protection Act and its successor the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR).

TTD will take particular care over email addresses which in addition to the GDPR are subject to the Privacy and Electronic Communication Regulations (PECR).

Information Tiny Tots Dance processes

The following sections describe the information that TTD collects and how it is processed. 


Legal basis for processing

The legislation requires that there is a clear legal basis for processing personal information. In general Tiny Tots Dance relies on the individual’s consent in order to process their data. This consent is made when you enrol with us via our booking system:

Enrolled members of Tiny Tots Dance

We collect contact details of parent, child & two emergency contacts for health & safety reasons. In case of an emergency, we need contact details in order to deal with any medical situations efficiently. Your details may be used for medical professionals if an emergency situation occurs. 

On enrolment you will be asked the following questions:

  • Do you consent for us to use any photos/videos taken in class for digital marketing ie; social media, website?

  • Do you consent for us to use any photos taken in class to use for advertisement purposes ie, newspapers, press releases, leaflets & posters?

  • Do you consent for us to send you routine emails/text messages about classes and opportunities at Tiny Tots Dance?

  • In case of an emergency, where you or your child are in need of urgent medical attention, do you agree for us to use your personal details provided, to aid the emergency services?


Email addresses

On enrolment we request your email address in order to keep you updated with Tiny Tots Dance. If you consent, we will send you content that is only relevant to your Tiny Tots Dance class such as newsletters, class information & Tiny Tots Dance events.



If you give your consent for Tiny Tots Dance to use your photos for digital marketing and advertising, Tiny Tots Dance will continue to use the photographs in all future work, unless you directly notify us otherwise. You can withdraw your consent by emailing


Data Retention

Once an enrolled member lapses, after 12 months of inactivity, you will be removed from our data system (Class for Kids), although all records of historical financial transactions will remain. 


Legal Obligation

We may disclose your information to governmental agencies or entities, regulatory authorities, or other persons in line with any applicable law, regulations, court order or official request.


Data Controller

Our database provider (Class for Kids) collect the data on behalf of Tiny Tots Dance. We each have a responsibility to manage access to the data, the way in which it is used, as well as the specific information we collect, whether that be names and addresses, or medical information & registration details. There are various forms on the website used to collect information. That information is only used for the stated purposes such as making an enquiry for parties, or a general enquiry about the classes we offer. These forms are directed straight to our email address 



We use the payment platforms hosted by Class for Kids to take any payments for Tiny Tots Dance. The payment platform is Stripe and their Privacy Policy can be found here:

Access to personal information

Tiny Tots Dance tries to be as open as it can be in terms of giving people access to their personal information. Individuals can find out if we hold any personal information by asking. This is formally known as a ‘subject access request’ under the Data Protection Act 1998. If we do hold information about you we will:

  • give you a description of it.

  • tell you why we are holding it.

  • tell you who it could be disclosed to

  • let you have a copy of the information in an intelligible form.

Complaints or queries

Tiny Tots Dance will attempt to meet the highest standards when collecting and using personal information. For this reason, we take any complaints made about this very seriously. We encourage parents to bring any concerns to our attention, particularly if you think that our collection or use of information is unfair, misleading or inappropriate. We would also welcome any suggestions for improving our procedures.

Confidentiality will be preserved during the investigation of a complaint to safeguard the interests of everyone concerned unless disclosure is necessary to progress the complaint.
